Sonia joined Lawtons at the beginning of 2009, having qualified with Cartwright Clark Solicitors, previously part of Pictons LLP. Sonia’s Training consisted predominantly of Criminal Law and Prison Law. Sonia has gained a great deal of experience dealing with a range of offences from shoplifting to murder, both at the Police Station and at the Magistrates Court,

Having completed her law degree at SOAS, in London, Sonia completed her LPC at the London College of Law. During her studies Sonia also undertook an internship with the Cook County Public Defenders in Chicago, USA, specializing within the Murder Task Force. This confirmed her dedication to practicing in Criminal Law at an early stage of her Legal Career.

Sonia is fluent Gujarati and can also communicate in Hindi.

Sonia is a qualified Duty Solicitor and a member of the Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme run by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
