Nick is one of the two founding Partners of Lawtons Solicitors.
Nick was educated locally, attending Redbourne Upper School, before then going on to study Law at the University of Leeds, Graduating from there with a 2:1 Degree he went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the prestigious Nottingham Law School. With a Training Contract already secured with one of the largest Provincial Firms, he Qualified as a Solicitor in 2000.
Whilst completing his Training Contract, Nick had the opportunity of experiencing various aspects of the Legal Profession, one of which was Criminal Defence Work. From early on, it was clear that Nick’s passion and drive came from Criminal Defence work by virtue of the challenges and rewards it offered.
Having Practised for a number of years in the local courts and police stations of Hertfordshire and North London, Nick was recruited by a Luton Firm where he met Steve Halloran.
Through his Career, Nick has developed a reputation as someone that is committed to his clients and has regularly defended those accused of all manner of crimes, ranging from multiple murders and complex conspiracies to allegations of theft and criminal damage.
Nick has been actively involved in the local Criminal Justice area of Bedfordshire for some time. He was part of the Local Implementation Team that was responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Simple Speedy Summary Justice Scheme in local Magistrates Court and to ensure that interests of all Defence Solicitors were properly Represented. Nick has also now joined the Legal Services Commission’s Eastern Region Provider Reference Group.
He has been Duty Solicitor and member of the Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme run by the Solicitors Regulation Authority for many years.
